Last Updated 06 January 2011

Who can I send messages to?

The Viaero Wireless Web to Text service can send messages to any subscriber on any provider in North America. The system cannot be used for international text messages.

Will I be billed for the messages I send through this system?

Yes, you will be billed based on the terms of your service agreement with Viaero Wireless. Any text messages sent count just as if they were sent from your phone.

Can the person I send a text to reply to me directly?

Yes. Recipients of text messages can directly reply to the message; the reply itself will be routed to your phone.

Can I receive text messages through this service?

No, you cannot. You must use your Viaero Wireless phone to receive text messages.

Can I send texts to more than one person at a time?

No. We prohibit users from sending texts to more than one number at a time to prevent abuse of the service for sending spam and unsolicited advertisements.

How do I sign up?

Go to the login page and click the red button that says, Sign Up!. From there, fill out the form and click the Register button. In a few moments your phone will receive a text message from 611 (or 1611) with a randomly generated password. You can now login with your username and this password.

When you login for the first time, you'll be asked to change your password to something other than what was sent to your phone. Pick a strong password to secure your account.

I lost my password. How do I reset it?

From the login page, click the link on the left-hand side that says, Reset Password. A dialog box will open asking you for your phone number - enter it and click the Reset Password button. A new password will be generated and sent to your phone.

When you receive the new password, you can login with your phone number and the password sent to your phone. You'll then be asked to change your password to something else. Be sure to pick a strong password to secure your account.
